Runners charity success

As many of you will know the majority of running events have had to be cancelled this year. Unfortunately, the 2021 Essar Four Villages race fell victim to the pandemic too.

You will also be aware that, as well as giving the running community a great race, one of our key objectives is raising money for our local hospices (Halton Haven Hospice and Hospice of the Good Shepherd). Whilst Covid 19 curtails our ability to race, it does not reduce the need for the hospices to raise money.

On the intended date of the 2021 race, the running section set up Just Giving pages for these hospices.

Helsby Running Club has donated £1,000 from our own funds (£500 for each hospice) and smashed their target of £2000 by raising currently £2455 for these essential charities.

Look forward to seeing you all in  the 4 villages 1/2 marathon January 2022
