A Cup Win 27.08.26
Helsby Bowling Clubs 'D' Team took part in the Fred Rodgers Cup final at Castle Park against Kingswood B team.
Helsby took the win in the closely fought final.
Well done to all our bowlers who took park - and a huge congratulations on your win!
The John Clements Cup
On Sunday 4th October, Helsby Bowling Club held The John Clements Cup, a charity event ahead of the dedication of their pavilion to a much loved member of the bowling community, John Clements.
John has been a valued member of the bowling community over the years, before sadly illness struck. John was previously the bowling club chairman for a number of years and also a junior bowling coach for Helsby Bowling Club and Cheshire!
This dedication is a heartfelt appreciation to John and his contribution to the club.
12 pairs, both male and female, took part competing throughout the afternoon, with the 4 finalists being Phil and Kelly and Trevor and Mandy.
Kelly and Phil took the victory and won the inaugural John Clements Cup!
A great afternoon was had by all. John was in attendance with his family, and it was a pleasure having him back at our greens.
A huge thank you to everyone who attended and participated, and to Dave Evans for organising the event. The money raised is being donated to John to contribute towards a new wheelchair for him.
